Overview

Welcome to the HIV and AIDS Management Program at AIES, designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage and respond to the challenges posed by HIV and AIDS in communities. This structured program spans four progressive levels: Foundation Diploma, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, and Professional Diploma, each lasting six months. The curriculum covers HIV prevention, treatment, care, and community outreach, with a focus on managing the social, economic, and health impacts of the disease. Students will learn to lead public health initiatives, provide care to affected individuals, and advocate for policies that support HIV and AIDS prevention and treatment.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completing the HIV and AIDS Management Professional Diploma Program, students will be able to:

  • Understand HIV and AIDS Epidemiology: Graduates will gain a thorough understanding of the epidemiology of HIV and AIDS, including transmission, prevention, and treatment strategies.
  • Develop Community-Based HIV Prevention Programs: Students will learn to design and implement effective HIV prevention programs tailored to the needs of specific communities.
  • Manage HIV and AIDS Treatment and Care: Graduates will acquire the skills to provide holistic care and support to individuals living with HIV, addressing both medical and psychosocial needs.
