Before beginning your first lesson, take a few minutes to learn how the course is organized, how to move through each module, what to expect from the quizzes and assessments, and where to get help if you need support.
Welcome to Digital Marketing Fundamentals from AIES.
This course has been designed to give you a practical introduction to the major areas of modern digital marketing. You will learn how organizations develop marketing strategies, understand audiences, create content, improve search visibility, use social media and email, manage digital advertising, analyze performance, work with digital marketing tools, and prepare for the future of marketing.
The course is self-paced, which means you can work through the material according to your own schedule. However, we strongly recommend completing the lessons in the order presented because later lessons build on concepts introduced earlier in the course.
Before moving to Module 1, please watch the short course-orientation video below. It explains how the course is structured and how to progress successfully from the first lesson through the final assessment.
Please watch this video before beginning Lesson 1. It explains the course layout, lesson sequence, quizzes, module assessments, and how to successfully complete the program.
The course contains 6 modules and 24 lessons. Each module contains four lessons followed by a module assessment.
Most lessons take approximately 40 minutes to complete, although your actual study time may vary depending on how carefully you review the examples, videos, activities, and self-check questions.
The complete course is designed to be completed at your own pace, with many learners finishing it in approximately two weeks of focused study.
| Module | Topic | Lessons |
|---|---|---|
| Module 1 | Digital Marketing Foundations | 1–4 |
| Module 2 | Marketing Strategy, Branding, and Responsible Marketing | 5–8 |
| Module 3 | Content Marketing and AI-Powered Marketing | 9–12 |
| Module 4 | SEO and Social Media Marketing | 13–16 |
| Module 5 | Email Marketing and Online Advertising | 17–20 |
| Module 6 | Analytics, Optimization, and Future Marketing Trends | 21–24 |
Each module follows a consistent learning sequence. You will first complete the lesson material, which may include explanations, examples, videos, self-check questions, and practical activities.
After each lesson, complete the lesson quiz to check your understanding before moving forward.
At the end of each four-lesson module, you will complete a broader Module Assessment that reviews concepts from all four lessons.
Working in sequence will help you build your knowledge gradually and prepare more effectively for each assessment.
Lesson quizzes help confirm that you understand the main concepts from the individual lesson before moving forward.
Review the lesson again if you are unsure about any of the concepts tested.
Each module concludes with an assessment covering material from all four lessons in that module.
Module assessments are designed to test both your understanding of key concepts and your ability to apply them to practical marketing situations.
You do not need to memorize every software feature or marketing term immediately. Focus on understanding the concepts and how they apply in realistic situations.
A good study routine is to complete one or two lessons, review the self-check questions, take the associated quizzes, and then continue when you feel comfortable with the material.
If you get an answer wrong, review the explanation and return to the relevant section of the lesson before continuing.
